ABOUT THE MONACO ASSOCIATION FOR LATIN AMERICA (AMLA)

AMLA, is a Monegasque nonprofit organization, founded in the year 2017 by four Latin American women from Bolivia, Cuba, Guatemala, and Colombia.

We promote and showcase the best of Latin American culture, within a socially and environmentally responsible framework.

We focus on sharing country specific best cases and lifechanging stories of Latin American personalities and their contribution to the world’s efforts in the preservation of cultural heritage.

Our events include fashion, music, gastronomy, literature, cinema, and dance in the form of workshops, conferences, concerts, recitals, fashion, and trunk shows, by own efforts or in collaboration with other Monegasque cultural institutions.

We are part of a community and collaborate with local peers, creating space for Latin American participation, such as at (1) the Monaco International Book Fair, (2) the Monaco Ocean Week, (3) the Monte-Carlo TV Festival and (4) The Kermes Ouvre De Soeur Marie Charity Fete. Next year, 2024, AMLA will present a Latam concept as part of the Monaco Fashion Week. We also work with the International and University and School of Monaco to source qualified and motivated volunteers.

AMLA is part of an international network of likeminded, managed by its board of directors and management team and supported by international Goodwill Ambassadors, in key destinations such as Germany, UK, Switzerland, Spain and in different countries of LATAM. We continuously seek out strategic alliances to grow our network and enforce our position.

Within our humanistic social role, we focus on inspiring self-awareness and consciousness. Our areas of work include: (1) breaking the taboos of depression, and other mental conditions; (2) supporting opportunities for sports, music and performing arts education; (3) awarding hard work of A-students; (4) co-funding local ONGs, who support children and young adults in the aeras of: (A) child sexual abuse prevention and (B) domestic violence. We also support ONGs and individuals, who work on the preservation of cultural heritage, indigenous people, and forests.

The Hellenic Community of Monaco was established in 1952

At a time when the first families of Greeks were settled here.

The main objective

Of the Community is to unite and offer assistance and information to all Greeks and Cypriots living in the Principality and its surroundings.

The Community

Informs the members about job openings, participates in various events, supports non-profit organizations, sponsors philanthropic institutions, and donates to a good cause.

Aiming to promote the Greek culture

And to preserve the traditions of Hellenism, organizes conferences, social and art events, excursions in Greece, activities.

The Community honors

The International Greeks for their achievements in business, arts and sciences, sports, and philanthropy.
